The Flowers and Greenery of the First Lady’s Luncheon

A time-honored spring tradition in the country’s capital, the First Lady’s Luncheon is a bipartisan event started by the Congressional Club in 1912. The original purpose was to provide a setting for friendships among spouses of the House and Senate in Washington D.C. and has grown to a well attended event with proceeds benefitting multiple charities.

First Lady's Luncheon

We are happy to have played a small part in the festivities by donating our domestically grown greenery for the floral decor with many other Certified American Grown farms, amounting to 21,000 stems total. The volunteer floral designers did an impressive amount of work in three days to create:

  • 1200 boutonnières
  • 144 table arrangements
  • 18 VIP room arrangements
  • 6 cascading head table designs
  • 2 enormous photo walls
